Carbon steel alloy is formed by adding suitable amounts of carbon to steel which is achieved at a much higher temperature, where both the metals melt and merge into each other forming a much stronger alloy. The resultant alloy is very durable and can sustain any amount of wear and tear when used as a component or part inside a machinery. Use of carbon along with chromium increases resistant properties of the alloy, and makes it use viable in many instances of industrial applications.
Fasteners made from carbon steel are very durable and can withstand any change in pressure or temperature that happens in intervals at an industrial assembly. Forged fasteners are made in dies that use molten form of carbon steel and forge the stock shape of the fasteners according to the given dimensions. Threading and beveling of the fasteners is fairly difficult due to the toughness of the fasteners. Different grades of fasteners can be manufactured in both threaded and welded form.
