Carbon steel is obtained by adding adequate amounts of carbon to steel which increases its mechanical properties and adds better functional capabilities to parts and components, forged from the alloy. The alloy is forged in congruence with AISI standard which does not specify certain ratios or amounts for the different metals that can be added in ratio to the steel. Carbon steel can be heat treated to increase its hardness in turn affecting its durability but only with changes in its ductile and machining properties.
The sheets plates and coils forged from the carbon steel alloy are very hardened, and have a high tensile stress making them capable of sustaining any amount of force or pressure that is used in heavy grade industries with constant force and pressure, as a part of its functioning mechanism. Sheet plates are very resistant to corrosion and abrasion. The plates do not stain or develop crevice cracks within them. Forged coils having a high tensile strength making its use viable in multitude applications.
