Cupro Nickel alloy is the result of fusing together copper and nickel together, with copper vouching for 75 percent of the total constituent metal in the alloy. The use of Cupro Nickel alloy is mainly done in places where constant contact with liquids of chemical or alkaline nature are to be found. Copper content propagates use of the alloy in manufacturing components from thee alloy, for use as conductive material in industries for conducting heat or electricity. The alloy is calibrated to have a high resistance towards saline water and is the preferred choice by the marine industry.
The Cupro Nickel alloy pipes and tubes comes in different types like seamless, threaded and welded depending on its area of application. For places where constant maintenance is a norm, threaded pipes are best preferred due to the amount of simplicity involved in disassembling the framework and reassembling it back again. The Cupro Nickel alloy pipes and tubes reacts well to welding and fusion welding, without formation of any iron oxide layer on its surface which is blocked by formation of a chromium oxide layer.
