Inconel alloy is made using nickel and chromium, in different types available for different application needs. Inconel alloys are known for their capability to sustain high temperature. Less hardened nature of the Inconel alloy makes it easy to machine them without any brittleness or chip cracking, which is a norm among many hard and heavy alloys. Different grades of the alloy are manufactured for use in myriad corrosive prevalent environment.
Inconel sheet, plates and coils are resistant to various harsh chemicals, saline water or alkaline solutions which is widely used in chemical industries as well as desalination plants. They can also withstand high temperature which ensures that they retain their original form without developing any creep or deformation. Inclusion of several other metal in is core constituency increases the strength of the coils enhancing their tensile strength, making them resistant to corrosion and abrasion.
