Monel alloys are a result of high quality nickel and copper combined together at high temperature to form an alloy, that is capable of withstanding any amount of external force. As compared to Cupro Nickel alloy the content of nickel is maintained higher in the monel alloys due to the final intended use. They are cold and hot worked including the extensive machine processing that is carried on them to get rid of any remnants, that are left after the initial forging is done. Its is a very superior alloy compared to other combination of alloy and is mainly used to forge parts and products that are very crucial and used in large scale applications.
The Round bars can be forged from different grades of Monel like the 400, 401, 404, 450, K500 grades each of which is made with varying properties, and reaction to post processing methods like welding or fastening. The Round bars are forged using CNC lathes that are specifically designed to take in bars and shape them according to the laid out designs. These lathes have a bar loaders and feeder mechanism that runs on computer system which assesses the carving of stock Monel bars into desired dimension and shapes using careful monitoring system that checks for any flaws or possible problems that may arise.
