Nickel alloy is the general term given to the alloy that is a complex combination of the metal Nickel and several other metals that, work contribute equally to the final core properties of the alloy. Addition of Nickel enhances the physical strength of the alloy making it a semi hardening alloy. Addition of metals like iron and carbon increases the overall hardness of the metal alloy, but affects the ductility and machining ability of the alloy making post processing work difficult. The nickel alloys are resistant to various external corrosive factors and react well to methods like welding.
Forged fittings crafted from the nickel alloy have excellent malleable and ductile properties with semi hardened composure, having the capability to change according to application needs. Use of varying dies and lathes is done in manufacturing the fittings, which are custom crafted as per needs of the applications. Final fittings are finished with additional varnishes, which helps protect their surface. Use of nickel alloy forged fittings is mainly done in chemical industries due to its excellent resistance against harsh chemicals, increasing its functional life.
